A scanner to help you find quickly small items at the hardware store

Springwise reports on a 3d scanner designed to help customers locate what they’re looking for at large retailers or hardware stores. On arrival the customer can scan the item they are looking for (providing they have a similar item, otherwise they can enter a keyword) and can then be quickly directed to the part of the store that has the item(s). The scenarios mentioned in the article inlcude screws and lightbulbs, that can often be difficult for customers to locate.
