Brain stimulation could aid stroke recovery

The BBC reports that electrical stimulation of the brain could help people recover from strokes. Research from Oxford University suggests that stimulation of the brain along with physical rehabilitation can improve recovery. From the article:

“The team found patients who were given electrical stimulation alongside rehabilitation sessions fared better than people given rehab alone. Volunteers who had the electrical treatment saw greater improvements when moving their arms, and some found it easier to do everyday tasks.”
