Ring that helps blind people read non-braille books and text

Springwise reports on a ring that helps people with a visual impairment to ‘read’ non-braille books. Using an in-built camera, the ring scans text and reads it aloud for the wearer. Developed at MIT, the ring includes haptic feedback to help the wearer keep to the lines of text and alerts them at the end of each line.
